Litigation Support E-Discovery Specialist (Temporary Position)

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Litigation Section of the Office of Attorney General is seeking a litigation support specialist to assist its staff and attorneys with the use and implementation of legal and litigation technology, interface with technology vendors, and provide general office management and discovery tool assistance. Experience with law practice management software, document management, document automation, workflow tools, and litigation and presentation software. A+ certification and/or helpdesk experience is beneficial but not required.

This is a temporary position, commonly referred to as a 999 employee. This position receives no leave, insurance, or retirement benefits and they are paid only for the actual hours of work. All employees of the Oklahoma Office of Attorney General, including temporary are “at will” employees.





INVESTIGATIVE ANALYST

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Fraud Unit of the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office is seeking an Investigative Analyst that must be able to perform the following tasks:

Effectively analyze information obtained from referrals or complaints from multiple sources, including on-line sources; make determination as to additional documentation necessary to open or close investigative case; refer information as needed to other appropriate investigative authorities.

Effectively communicate with the public, law enforcement personnel and other governmental agencies in order to document complaints and referrals regarding workers’ compensation and insurance fraud; effectively communicate in written form results of preliminary investigations and other assigned tasks; utilize time and resources efficiently to complete preliminary investigations in a timely manner.

Maintain internal databases as required; produce reports from databases as needed;

Obtain or maintain training necessary to effectively utilize electronic sources of information, including but not limited to criminal history databases, insurance claim history databases, Workers’ Compensation Court records, and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission databases.

Effectively assist investigators as needed in the completion of investigations, identifying and locating witnesses and suspects, and obtaining other evidentiary information, including but not limited to requesting the issuance of MultiCounty Grand Jury subpoenas; effectively assist attorneys as necessary in preparation of cases for litigation, including maintenance of documents and exhibits.

Other administrative duties and tasks as assigned.

Maintain integrity and confidentiality of investigative and other information designated confidential by the Attorney General’s office or other authority.





TOBACCO COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Tobacco Enforcement Unit of the Oklahoma Office of Attorney General is seeking a Tobacco Compliance Officer. The Tobacco Enforcement Unit administers and enforces the State’s interest under the Master Settlement Agreement entered into with the manufacturers of tobacco products. The Tobacco Compliance Officer will assist in maintaining Oklahoma’s Directory of Compliant Tobacco Product Manufacturers. The Tobacco Compliance Officer will be responsible for reviewing records and reports received from manufacturers and governmental entities to assure that tobacco product manufacturers engaged in the sale of tobacco products in the State of Oklahoma are compliant with all regulatory requirements required of such manufacturers.

A bachelor's degree in accounting or auditing is required. The applicant must have knowledge of accounting/auditing principles and methods, as well as the ability to comprehend complex laws and regulations. A thorough knowledge of computer software applications such as Excel, Word and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
